second c-section
For those that have had multiple c-sections, did you find that the second one was easier or harder to recover than the first one? Did it hurt less because the nerves had already been cut, etc.?

Re: second c-section
Neither one was terribly hard for me, but the 2nd was not any harder than the first, about the same

To me, it was the same. Same recovery and everything.

Re: second c-section
I had a great recovery and everything for both but 2nd was a tad better. That is the only reason why we are having another If the 2nd went awful, then forget it

Re: second c-section
MUCH MUCH MUCH easier!!! The first one I was in a lot of pain but this time around - I was completely off of meds basically when I got home from the hospital (I can't take motrin so it was tylenol or nothing). The only thing was that I felt so good that the restrictions my OB gave me made me frustrated b.c I felt great - so I had to remind myself not to do certain things. I know several people who had great recoveries who forgot about their restrictions and tore their incisions or worse.

Re: second c-section
my second csection was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better then the first. Only because i knew what to do the second time around. i got up and was walking much much sooner then i did with the first. and i took all the pain meds they offered right on schedule.

Re: second c-section
My second recovery was quicker but more painful (I had an infection and my incision opened up with my first, so the recovery took longer). My third was a piece of cake, I felt back to normal pretty quickly.

Re: second c-section
My 2nd CS seems to be much better than my first. I could tell right away in the hospital. I was soooo out of it with my first CS in the recovery room. My DH said I looked and seemed much better this time around. I'm only on day 5 so far after surgery. Only thing bothering me is the soreness of the muscles and then this morning I seemed to have pulled one slightly and in that one spot it hurts bad but seems to be getting better right now.

Re: second c-section
FIrst C-section was the worst! It was my first baby and I didn't take the pain killers. Plus we had alot of family around and I was trying to be macho woman and do alot of things. The second time around I knew what I was doing and took the pain killers and things were great plus there wasn't alot of family around and I knew what I was doing. I would recommend to anyone to taae the pain killers for the first couple of weeks and rest.

Re: second c-section
My first was the easiest to recover from. My second was a little bit harder, and my 3rd was a nightmare. It took me a full month to feel better after my 3rd.
