Second Guessing Myself
In my last 2 visits to the RE, a nurse and a PA made the same comment to me. They both commented that I am "young". The first one made this statement when I asked about IVF and the other made the same comment regarding how they didn't want to be too aggressive with my Folllistim. I am almost 34 and have never been PG. I don't consider myself young and I always feel like I am racing against my biological clock. On one hand their comments made me feel a little better but on the other hand I am now questioning what I am doing to myself to try to get PG.

Re: Second Guessing Myself
I HATE that phrase "you're young". I'm going to be 29 in a few months... it doesn't change the fact that in my 'perfect world plan' I would've had kids 3-4 if not 4-5 years ago... Your dr. needs to keep quiet about your age and focus on what YOUR goal is--- that's what you're paying him for!

Re: Second Guessing Myself
you are doing what you need to be doing to get pregnant. Do not second guess yourself!
My RE who is one of the top doctors in the country, told me that at 37 I am still young and WILL get pregnant and stay pregnant. You are not racing the clock just yet

Re: Second Guessing Myself
I keep getting that young comment myyself. I am 30, its not like I'm 22. I know I am not "old" but in reproductive age, that clock is ticking.

I think your RE is more honest than mine.

I have to say, maybe 30 years ago they would think you're old at 34, but you're NOT. Most women are still TTC at this age, IF or not. So don't worry.
How's your FSH? If your FSH is still doing great that means something. That means your ovarian reserve is peachy and you're still pumping out good, fresh follies.
