Second time inductions?
Did anyone have a successful induction for their first, and then end up being induced for their second as well? I'm wondering if was just as successful or did you have complications etc?

Second time inductions?
I was induced with my first but didn't need to be the second time. Is there a reason you think you will need to be induced again?

Re: Second time inductions?
I've been wondering the same thing. I am hoping that my body will "remember" labor & it'll kick in on its own this time. Do you think you'll need to be induced again? My uneducated guess is that if you had a successful induction the first time, that would be increase your odds of having a successful induction again.

Re: Second time inductions?
I was induced twice...the first time I was over due by 4 days but had a few complications during my pregnancy so they didn't want me to go to late...it was very successful so my second time around my doctor offered me an induction because the first went so well...I choose to do it and it went just as well as the first

Re: Second time inductions?
Thanks! There really isn't a reason I would be induced besides that the baby is already measuring Between 7-8 pounds and I'm only 37 weeks! My dr suggested/offered it being that my first was successful, but not until around 39.3 weeks. So I've been debating all the possibilities...

DD was measuring around 8lbs or so at the 37w4d point. She was born after a 65 hour medically necessary induction (low fluid) at exactly 39 weeks at 7lbs 5oz. Ito my understanding that the measurements are usually inaccurate.
I had an absolutely awful induction. I'm really hoping to avoid it this time around.

Same here, so I did everything I could to go into labor on my own with DD2, and I did 4 days late. My induction with DD1 was 48 hours and my labor with DD2 was about 5 hours.
I know 2 people who elected to have two inductions and both went fine. I personally would not expose my body/baby to the drugs unless medically necessary. And while everything will likely be fine, I assume the chances of needing a c section would increase if you induced vs when you go into labor naturally.

Re: Second time inductions?
I had 3! Yes 3 successful inductions! The first two were due to low fluid at 40 weeks. The last induction was at 39 weeks due to concerns of DC's kidneys. I was waiting for the call to be admitted and started laboring on my own. So DC was coming anyway. I had a pleasant experience every time and wouldn't change a thing. However the last was the easiest since I was already in labor. The first was the most difficult because it was long and almost ended up in CS.

Growth scans are notoriously inaccurate. I wouldn't worry about the size they think your baby is. They told me I'd have a 9lb baby and he wasn't even 8lbs.
