secondary spec ed demo?
Can anyone help me? I have a demo lesson at the end of this coming week for a special education class for middle school. I have not yet been given a subject or grade. I would really appreciate any help.

I would find out the subject and grade level before trying to figure out any lesson ideas.

Did they say if it was for an inclusion, self-contained, or resource room? Try to find that out as well as the # of students.
Some possible ideas include a DBQ lesson, a consumer math lesson (shopping for items in a catalog and figuring out tax, discounts, etc. or a "menu math" kind of lesson) or a writing lesson.
