I don't have either but when DH and I were looking for a couch we went to look at that one at IKEA. We sat on it for 2 seconds and left. It was like a ROCK!
We have this one that we got at The Place (on rt 110) and we love it.

thanks I will have to go over there and take a look. I liked those because you can buy new slipcovers. does yours have that option?

I don't know, I have never looked into slip covers for it.
What I liked was that there seemed to be endless options as to pieces we could put together. Ours is made up of a right armed couch, a left armed couch with queen fold out bed, a corner seat and a 1 seat piece.

I was looking at this one too except you can't see it in the store, only on line. I do know that I saw the other slipcovered sectional they have on line and in the store (Linden Street Friday sectional) and it was nice but not super comfy IMO. And that was the one that was more money. I am afraid to buy without trying and shipping is a lot more when you buy on line. Did you look into the shipping cost? I bet it's at least $250-$300. However I do know that with JC Penney, if you buy online, you have a 7 day return opportunity. With the store, when it enters your home, it's yours.
I also want to add that sometimes with slipcovers, you see the zippers. When I saw the Friday set at JCP, the zipper was right down the back of the sectional which wouldn't matter if it's against the wall but if it's not, it's unsightly IMO.
Lastly, the slipcovers are dry clean only which I guess is better than washing them yourself bc I would imagine they'd need ironing & would be more prone to shrinking but I have to wonder how much it would cost to dry clean a sectional cover. I'd be afraid to only clean one part in case there was any color change.
But if you do order it, can you please review it? I am taking my time buying a new LR set bc last time, I got burned

thanks for that info!
I had no idea about the zipper thing! I def don't like that because then you have to keep it against the wall! I think I am going to try and get over to ikea this weekend and see about that one. if we like it, it will save us a lot in shipping. I can't seem to find any other sectionals that I like like this.

Re: Sectionals from IKEA vs JCP anyone have one of these?
I have the ektorp sofa and chair from ikea. I LOVE the fact that all the slipcovers come off. I bought mine in white... i know what you are thinking, white you are nuts, but it was really the best decision that i ever made. first of all, all the covers come off, not just the cushions, but the arms and back are one whole piece that way i can take them all off and throw them in the washing machine. It is a pain to wash them all and put them back, but thats just because its a few more extra loads added to your wash than normal then you have to put them all back. I would recommend not drying them all the way but leave them a little damp because that makes them easier to put back on. I over dried mine a few times and they shrunk making it super difficult to put back on. The white works amazing for us because i bleach them and everything comes out and they look brand new after the wash. My sisters bf had his wisdom teeth out and bled on my couch, i dropped chinese food on them, etc, all comes out with bleach, which if i had purchased another color, regular detergent may have not got all those stains out. Also, if you do need to replace the slipcovers, the white ones are WAAAY cheaper to buy then any other color. I dont know why, but the slipcovers for my love seat are 11 dollars as opposed to over a hundred dollars if they were in beige or red, etc.

thanks for the info!! def going to try and see it in person then. oddly enough, to buy it in white though (the color I want too) its $100 more then any other color- very odd. but either way thats the color I like so I just need to see it in person.
How long have you had it? are the cushions holding up well? do you use it often?

I too have the IKEA couch in white. It looks very nice, very pottery barn. I also bleach my covers & they look close to new.
It is not the softest couch ever, but it looks really classy & I love white slip covered couches. You can't beat the price.
The ones in the store have been sat on 10000x & are all mushy looking.
