Sedu flat iron?
Does anybody own one? I have VERY thick, frizzy-curly hair that NEEDS TONS of gel to hold the semi-curl that I have, which leads to a crunch-fest! I am fine with the crunchiness, just would rather soft hair for a change! It is way too hard for me to blow it out, so I'm searching for a new iron that actually works and that I won't have to spend an hour on my hair with! I also want to avoid an iron that I have to go over the same section like 5 times!
So, I've heard about the Sedu and am wondering if any of you have used it? If so, can you please let me know which one and the pros/cons to it? THANKS!

Re: Sedu flat iron?
Ok, here's the thing. I have the SEDU flat iron and it's AWESOME! But, not for what you'd like, I think.
I have very thick hair that's also curly. When I want to straighten my hair, I cannot use my SEDU. It would just flatten my frizz or curls, KWIM?
What I did find to be great was the MaxiGlide flat iron. It uses steam and an ironing plate so it will actually take the curls/kinks out of your hair and straighten it. When I first got this, I literally stopped going to the salon for my blowouts - I was THAT happy with the way my hair came out.
BUT I have found something I like even better than the MaxiGlide. The InStyler is, I think, one of the best things created! It straightens my hair AND gives it body/bounce. If you don't mind your hair being VERY straight, then go for the MaxiGlide. If you want it to have bounce, go for the InStyler.
The trick is, whether you use the MaxiGlide or the InStyler, DO NOT PUT GEL IN YOUR HAIR. I would use a leave in conditioner, dry the hair with a blow dryer just to get it dry (not to straighten) or let it airdry, then brush by sections and use either one of these tools to straighten. THis is how I do my hair now and it really works.
HTH!
