Semi- Inground Pool questions...
We are thinking of putting in a semi-inground pool and I have a few questions:
* What company did you use?
* Did you have to file for a permit?
* Did your taxes go up?
* What kind of deck did you put around the pool? We are thinking of pavers.
* How much was your total cost...pool, pump, deck?
* Do you have any pics?
* When did you buy? We are thinking in January. Are prices much less off season?
Thanks so much!

Re: Semi- Inground Pool questions...
we just redid our inground pool last year so no recomendation on installation of semi inground -
from what i gather anyhting deeper than 18 inches needs a permit - the installer should handle getting the permit -but confirm with town they got it- not sure what tax increase will be
we installed a paver patio around the pool and looks very nice - most towns don't require a permit for them because they float - they are put on top of recycleced crushed concrete - we only tacked a few to the coping and the grounting snad locks them together - need anchors on the outside -
pavers are nice because they don't get as hot as brick or blue stone
also we redid our pool in the fall it was a little cheaper and much faster - but make sure in the contract that includes closing and opening the pool and you want to see the pool run before it is winterized.

Re: Semi- Inground Pool questions...
You def need a permit! We needed one for our above ground and it took forever to get!!! We needed to make huge electrical changes and gate changes. Then we needed all these alarms on the fence and pool. We had to have our house alarm inspected because you need one in the back of the house. It cost more for the electrician, permit and changes then the pool
But now that it is done, we are so happy
Our taxes will most def go up and our homeowners.

Who did you use? Do they take care of getting the permit?
