Sending Christmas Cards

I was having a discussion with my Co-worker about Christmas cards, and she is not sending them this year to save money... What are your plans?

i was planning on sending them out. still deciding if i should do another picture of DH and i or just a regular holiday card. i sent a pic of a last year b/c it was our first holiday together. i'm excited to send cards out from DH and I, so i'm sending them again. i was planning on sending to everyone i know, again, but maybe i will cut back a little bit. i usually send them out 2nd or 3rd week of december.

We send cards out every year. We live OOS from our families so I like to send our wishes (and a photo) and I love to get cards from them too. It's nice to know we are thought about.

We haven't cut back on who we are sending them too, if anything, we will send out even more this year.

I'm hoping to get them out by Dec 15 at the latest.

We send them.
My one rule- PLEASE do not send them BEFORE Thanksgiving.
Nothing irks me more.
I got a Christmas card once in mid-November.
I was like- are you kidding me?
This rush of the seasons is getting out of hand.
I can see getting them written out and ready early if that's your thing.
Just hold them until after Thanksgiving... such a pet peeve of mine!

I enjoy receiving them! We are not cutting back. I think that there maybe a few people that we do not talk to anymore that we will not send them to, however NO large cut backs!

It is part of the holidays for me.

Absolutely sending them and not cutting back (with the exception of a couple of people we've drifted from). I look forward to sending and receiving cards every year!

Absolutely i'm still sending them out. It's part of the christmas/holiday tradition. I love getting cards from people too!
I usually send mine out mid December - sometimes too late
I've noticed that i don't get cards anymore from certain people, but i still continue to send them cards anyway.

I'm still sending mine out. I don't send out THAT many, so I don't think of it as a money issue. I usually send them out around Dec 10th-15th.

I'm thinking of doing a photo card of our doggie this year...IF i can get her to sit still!!

I will be sending Christmas cards, and yes, I normally do. I usually send them mid-December. And I only cut back on who I send them to in the case of people we really don't keep in touch with anymore... I wouldn't cut back for budget reasons. The cards and postage don't cost enough to be a deciding factor for me.

yes. I will be sending them out. We're gonna do photo cards with DS. How could we not.

In years past I've always sent them. Go to the dollar tree, buy some stamps and whoola. Its like not even $20.

Well last year was my first married Christmas, before that I sent to aunts, uncles, friends. Last yr I sent to my entire wedding invite list.

Probably 2nd week of December...around the 10th

My mom told me she sent to her entire wedding list for years, she added people, and took people out over the years. I plan on doing the same.

For the most part I don't send out Christmas cards, not to save money, but I don't have anybody much to send them to. We don't exchange cards with our friends (maybe only a few), and extended family members only send to our parents still (except a few cousins)... so we don't bother.

I send them every year on Dec 18th

I am cutting back two ways-

I am ONLY sending to people who sent to me us last year.. i sent a LOT out last year that i usually got cards from that i didnt receieve back so they are off of my list. AND instead of going to the stores and having the pic done i am probably going to do it through Walmart.com or something

I will def send them out as always right after Thanksgiving. And I didn't cut back the list even though it is over 100
