sentenced to 6 weeks of bedrest
ok, ladies, i am officially on bedrest for the next 6 weeks. saw the OB today, who clued me into the reality that they are not going to be able to stop my contractions fully. so at this point they need to be minimized so that i don't end up in pre-term labor.
so, bed rest it is until 36 weeks, at which point they take me off everything and let nature take its course.
part of me is relieved because it could have been 10 weeks  6 weeks feels much more doable to me at the moment...

i'm sorry about the bedrest but as long as you and the baby are ok its worth it. i wonder what causes this? stock up on some good reading, shows, getting ready for baby etc... chitchatting on LIF

Im so sorry you have to be on bed rest. I was on it too, but for me it was only 2 weeks...
At least you know that you are keeping your little baby safe...that is what kept me optimistic whenever i would get frustrated...
I recommend the book "Bed Rest." It was really cute. I loved reading it while I was on bed rest myself!!

Sorry to hear you are on bed rest. Try and use the time to catch up on your reading and maybe take up a craft. You can do a lot of shopping online which is fun!

I'm sorry about your bedrest!
I remember having to stay off my feet one week once because of a foot injury. Initially, I was looking for things to do. But by the end of the week, I had gotten used to it. 6 weeks is a lot longer though, so I'm not sure if the same applies.
At any rate, I hope it goes quickly and you read lots of good books and watch good movies!

Oh, that stinks I'm sorry But think of all the naps you can take and books you can read and garbage tv you can watch guilt free before the baby comes!

Sorry you are on bedrest. i know all too well the journey you have ahead of you. But it is made easier once you have computer access and lots of good books and puzzles. TV works for a time but gets old fast-luckily 6 is better than 10 weeks and you have a goal in site.
