Serious Help- I lost my driver's license--and my entire wallet!!

Thankfully, my super organized friend tried to organize me last week and so my little coach wristlet that I use as a wallet only had my driver's license and a few other cards (GHI, RX etc--all easily replaceable.) I wen to the DMV website, but I didn't see an option for replacing a driver's license.

It may still turn up somewhere...i had a bunch of bags with me last night...but just in case, anyway i can get a replacement without having to endure the Coney island DMV?

You can do it online. I have done it before for DH. Let me see if I can find the link.

Order a duplicate license or learner permit on-line

If Your Photo Document is Lost or Stolen
To replace your driver license, learner permit, or non-driver photo ID card, you can:

Apply on-line: only for driver licenses and learner permits. Your address must be current on DMV records.


Apply by mail.


Apply at a local DMV office: Complete form MV-44. Bring proof of identity that has a value of six points to get a duplicate of your driver license, your learner permit, or your non-driver photo ID card.
If your driver license or your learner permit was lost or stolen because of a crime:

Get form MV-78B from a police agency. This form is available only from police agencies, not from the DMV.

Make a photocopy of the form for your records. Complete form MV-44. Bring form MV-44 and the original form MV-78B to a DMV office. Show your proof of identity. There is no fee to replace your driver license or your learner permit if the MV-78B shows that the document was stolen. Note: You cannot use form MV-78B to replace a non-driver photo ID card for no fee.

Oh man that sucks. You definitely don't wanna lose that Rx card.

You can reapply for a drivers license replacement online. Should be the same for your Rx card.
