Seriously, what's the deal with the poor ratio of clothing??

As in girls to boys. I am looking for an XMas outfit for Troy and I am finding that there are 5 girl outfits for every 1 boy outfit!!!!

It's getting a bit insane. I am going from store to store and either they have nothing I like or if they have something, it's not in his size. I have been to what feels like every Target, Wal Mart, Kohls, and Carters.

I am HOPING to go to Gymboree and Children's Place as I saw outfits online, but want to see them in person.

I'm just frustrated that there are so many options for girls and not boys. Chat Icon

I hate to say it but that's how it goes...it's the same with men vs. women. I think it's bc girls/women have so many more options (pants/skirts/dresses) as well as color options (how often do you see boys in purple or pink? but you see plenty of girls in blue and brown) it's just bad luck for Mommies of boys. But less expensive in the end. I have 2 boys and 1 girl and I spend 3x as much on my DD than I do on my 2 boys clothes combined. Shoes, forget it. she has 11 pairs. They each have 2. I wasn't loving the CP collection this season for some reason.

I was all over South Shore mall today looking for an outfit for my DS, and I came home with a pair of jeans for myself and nothing for him. At this rate, he might have to wear a dress. Chat Icon

I can only imagine. I went looking for a boys outfit for a gift the other day and came out empty handed after visiting 3 stores Chat Icon

Tell me about it. Check Boscovs.com for some cute things.

Some stores have NO boy Christmas outfits! I can almost see that they have MORE for girls, but why is there next to nothing for boys. They have to celebrate Christmas or the holiday season, to!

DH laughed at me for starting to look for a Christmas outfit in August, but it's that hard!

Good luck!

Sometimes you get lucky and find something at Marshall's. Sears also has some cute outfits.

I have to say that the only way I can get Cailen unique and cute clothing is by going to the city. I wait until I have a chunk of money from my birthday and holidays and buy him some nice, highly priced pieces. Maybe a few pairs of pants, and some shirts that I can layer.

Then I go to the consignment shop near me, or buy clothes at Target or on sales for the rest of his wardrobe. Everyone always compliments his outfits!
