Seriously with this back pain
Rediculous. I am 90% sure that last night's horror was due to the tremendous amount of housework I did, but seriously- I need a remedy. I am sure I should start doing yoga- do you think stretching will help?
Anyone else no longer able to sit on the couch? I literally can not stand up- I have to do so in stages- walk around like a hunchback for a minute, limping bc pressure on the wrong leg makes me buckle. I have tried sitting on a heating pad- it helps a little, but not enough.

Re: Seriously with this back pain
yep, I get up and have to walk around like my left butt cheek is going to fall off, and I can't get comfortable on the couch. I have started to sit on my right butt cheek with a pillow btwn my legs and leaning to the right. Helps for a little bit.
for you bc I know how you feel!

Re: Seriously with this back pain
I hve tried this! LOL! And elevated feet- worse. I may have to start sitting on the computer chair- which is not comfortable either. I miss getting all snuggly. And we friggin only have a loveseat, so I can't lie down if the husband is there.

What about this: Lie down on the couch on your back with a pillow behind your head. Make sure your butt is where the sofa cushions meet, so that your hips sink into the crack. Depending on which side hurts you, raise that leg onto the back of the sofa, and put a pillow under the knee of the other leg laying flat.
I do this, and also switch it up by taking the leg that hurts, and bending it so my knee rests on the back of the couch, but my foot touches the outstreched leg (making a '4') .
Yes, I have tried every which way to get comfy.

Re: Seriously with this back pain
I'm right there with you. I have to get up every 20-30 minutes at work and at home, I do sit on my computer chair. It's either that or risking not being able to get up from my living room couch if I have to hurry to the bathroom.
Feel better!

Re: Seriously with this back pain
I feel better- bc I think my husband thinks I'm milking it, since I am only 21 weeks! Neener- I love your descriptive remedies! Unfortunately, though I am on th eshort side, I can not lie with my leg straight on my crappy love seat. I will have to stick with the heating pad and moving every 10 seconds. Awesome.

Re: Seriously with this back pain
I can no longer sit for more than 5 minutes at a time, and by the end of the day I cannot sit at all. My mid back pain is heinous.

no problem...try putting a bunch of pillows against the one side of the love seat and putting your leg up on that with your hurt leg bent...I did this last night-I am 5'11".
My DH asked me what I was going to be like at 9 months, I told him pizzed off at him even more, and non-movable.

Re: Seriously with this back pain
I totally understand, everything hurts (except my arms!) all the time. 12 more weeks of it...ugh. We're more than 1/2 way there, though! Feel better!

Re: Seriously with this back pain
I'm 25 weeks and my back has been hurting. I look so silly. I wobble already.
With my son I never had this. Definately after I do housework my back is in bad shape. I can barely walk sometimes and forget bringing DS up the stairs....
It's brutal.

Re: Seriously with this back pain
I feel your pain! When we were moving I was in agony. Hurt to sit, walk, stand!
Try some heat and ask DH to massage the area!

Re: Seriously with this back pain
I know your pain. My DH gives me a back massage every night becuase the back is killing me. I really think it is becuase my boobs are big and getting bigger by the day. My dh goes to work at night starting tomorrow (I am so going to miss him). I hope your pain gets better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
