Serving Fillet Mignon Xmas Day and need Side Ideas pleaseeee
Besides appetizers, lasagna, and meat in the sauce (braccole, sausage, meatballs) we are having fillet mignon. I could really use some side dish ideas. Please help...was thinking i could do some basics like roasted asparagus, or string beans in olive oil, but wanted something with alittle more WOW factor. any suggesstions, recipes appreciated.

My SIL loves doing filet on christmas and last year she did two types of butters to serve with it...one was a raspberry type butter and one was a truffle butter concoction..it was awesome.
This year she is doing something similar but she's doing a soup thing in shooter (like potato/bacon thing). Should be interesting. i think she found it on the food network and already tested it out...she said it was delicious
