Re: Sesame Place

Thanks! Sarah LOVES Elmo so we were thinking of going, but we figured she'll be to little still for the rides. I can't wait for next summer!

Re: Sesame Place

I'm not sure how much there will be for James to do...but children under 2 get in free...so we figure what the heck.

We want to take him this summer...because we are trying for a 2nd and we won't be able to go with an infant.

Next summer I'll take him to Splish Splash and the Bronx Zoo

Re: Sesame Place

there aren't too many rides, just lots of wading pools, little slides, sand boxes, blocks, playground-type equiptment, shows, and there are some bigge rides, but more for like 6 and up!
we are going with my SIL (Bella123) in July and my niece will be about 18 months and I'm sure she'll have a blast. I think even a 1 year old could enjoy it! We've went 3 times so far, we brought my daughter when she was 4 months old and even she was entertained, the music, chracters, water, se loved it!

Re: Sesame Place

This is making me rethink...
I thought Bella would be too young for this...

Re: Sesame Place

It's mainly water stuff and really cute. I want to take my kids but now that #3 is on the way, it will be too hard with their ages unless we bring my Mom along (which we might so she can watch the baby) It's definitely a place where you need 1:1 parent:child ratio for small kids IMO. Some of the nearby hotels have really fun stuff for the kids too. I remember bringing my nephew and they had pajama party/movie time for the kids in the early evening.

Re: Sesame Place

WE had a bad experience with SEsame place, I guess because we went at a peak time, and it was MOBBED with WAYY OVERGROWN pre-teens and BIG HUGE KIDS Chat Icon so my 18m old at the time, didnt do much, we couldnt even get peace of mind in the kiddie pools. we're still debating whether to give it another shot..

ETA: WE did love the parade, the Elmo show was awesome, and the outdoor gameshows, contests, etc, were adorable. Chat Icon

Another great idea is Dutch WOnderland in PA (half hour from Hershey) we're going several days, to both parks and also Crayola factoriy.
Dutch wonderland was AMAZING, totally-toddler park. high recommened.
sorry to hijack the sesame post.
my boys love SS too, but our last experience just left a bad taste in our mouths.. im tryingo to talk my husband into going again, so our 2yr old gets to experience it too..

Re: Sesame Place

We took my son to Sesame Place last summer when he was about 18 months and he absolutely loved it! We went during the week so it wasn't that crowded. The rides are mostly for older children, but my son is a fish and loves to swim, so he spent half the day in the wading pools. They also have a lot of shows with the characters and a parade which he loved. We also had breakfast with the characters which was fun. The food was horrible, but it was nice to see Elmo and his friends. If your child doesn't like to swim, though, I would say it is not worth going. The shows and parade only take up so much time.
