sesame place while (very) pregnant

DH and I are thinking of taking DD to Sesame place in May. we want to do something with her before baby comes. she will be 20 months, and I will be 7 months pregnant- due July 13. do you think this is a bad idea? can i go on the rides with her? i have no idea what the rides there are like.
if you think this is a bad idea and i'm crazy for thinking i can do this, where would you go? for an 1 night overnight trip

ETA- being that she iwll only be 20 months, i dont htink we will do the big rides anyhow- but i've never been there, so what do i know?

When we were there DH and I commented on how it seemed like every other Mom there was very pregnant!

For her age, there are a few rides that you probably can't go on with her - but a lot of it is water and pool type things. I don't know it would be warm enough for some of those things in May.

do you think its not worth it to go in may? i think june is too close ot due date for all that walking, but maybe not.

I mean-is it a big park? lots of walking?

We went to Hershey Park when I was 7 months pregnant and we had a nice time! There were tons of hills there and I felt like I walked a million miles!!Chat Icon My husband took the kids on the rides and I rested at each ride exit! Chat Icon I didn't go on any rides because they all had signs not to go on! I was glad we went before having the baby because it was awhile before went away again!!! hth Chat Icon

I think Crayola world is also in that area. That may be good for her and better for you

I wouldn't think the water rides would be open in May and aside from that, I don't think they have enough rides to warrant the trip. UNLESS, your DC will be entertained by shows (DS has no patience for that kind of stuff.)

Re: sesame place while (very) pregnant

We went with our friends this past summer and the other woman was 8 months PG. She didn't go on any of the rides but did enjoy being there with her DS. I think they have a sign at each ride not to go on if you are PG. I agree with the others, that you really won't be able to do the water stuff in May. My DD didn't want to do anything other than hang out in the pool all day. she refused to go on any of the non-water activities. She did enjoy the shows though, but wouldn't go up to any of the characters.

Is your DH willing to take your DC on the rides? If so, maybe Hershey would be a better choice since there are less water rides. Or there are some other choices of theme parks for little ones, but I can't think of the names right now.

Crayola was nice, but I don't think you could spend an entire day there with a 20 month old. My DD was 27 months when we went and she got upset everytime we left one room to go to another, so maybe you could spend a whole day there -- and spend like an hour in each room. You might get bored though. Chat Icon

I honestly think it will be too cold to go in May....I would do something else. I went last year and my DD was 17 months. We had fun but the water was teh best part.

JMHO!!!

I'll be 7 months pregnant in May also and wanted to take my 22 month old there before the new baby comes but with all the water rides May doesn't seem like the best time. We are thinking of going to Dutch Wonderland instead. A lot of my friends have gone with children around 2 and they loved it there.
