Settling family differences...

if u weren't talking to a family member and they were going in for major surgery, would u try to make peace?

i found out last night that a great aunt passed away. she was married to my grandmother's brother. they had a falling about about 2 yrs ago when an aunt passed away. her brother and sil hasn't spoken since. my grandmother doesn't know. i don't know when they'll tell her. they didn't visit her in the hospital. i told my mom too bad the difference couldn't be settled.

would u have made peace?

I guess it depends on the reason why it all started but yes I probably would have. Life is too short for grudges.

Sadly all I can say i maybe. I'd like to think I'd try but it does depend on the specifics.

I always think it is best to try to make peace... unfortunately though, sometimes the pain and bitterness won't allow it. I hope things can be worked outChat Icon

well said, I feel the same. Sometimes, if the pain is so deep, it's hard.

Hope all works out for the best!
