Severe back pain
I woke up this morning with the worst lower back pain. It hurts so much! I took some Tylenol, but it hasn't really helped. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Re: Severe back pain
I know how you must feel. It could be the weather combined of course with the PG. Did you try putting heat on it?
I couldn't get a massage because my surgeons said it could make it worse. I just rested a lot and put heating pads on it.
I hope you feel better

Maybe you should call your Dr. and see if there is anything else you can do.
I wonder if you can get BH in your back?

Thanks I think I will call if it's still bad tomorrow. I just read about some stretches to do on webmd, and I think it actually helped a bit!

That's what I was thinking but I didn't want to be the first to say anything.

I'm not due until June 17. I'm feeling a little better now. I hope this isn't labor yet!!

Re: Severe back pain
I've had lower back pain too. I colleague of mine recommended a belly belt, she said it made a huge difference. I found this one in the JC Penny catalogue for $20. They are also sold at BRU for $25. Image Attachment(s):

Re: Severe back pain
My doctor told me that BH contractions can absolutely start in your back and to really keep an eye on them because it can be a good sign that you may have back labor. She said take not of any pain that sets in starting in the back and if it wraps around to the front of your abdomen. She said your abdomen won't always hurt along with it, but it will look somewhat pointed. But it also could be the baby turning and sitting in a bad spot. That happened to me two weeks ago, she moved and was sitting on a spot that was SO painful. A couple of days later, she moved and I have been ok since. (knock on wood!) Feel better!
