Severe chills and metallic taste in my mouth
There have been about 3 episodes over the past year or 2 where out of nowhere I feel feverish, have awful chills and get a strange metallic taste in my mouth. i typically take tylenol/advil and go to sleep. When I wake up I'm fine. Any clue what this could possibly be or anyone experience something like this? Very strange.

I think there could be a lot of things that cause that. Anemia is one of them. I had the metallic taste in my mouth when I had mono but I don't really know why and no one else I know had that. It actually got worse at different times of the day when I was most tired.

High possibility of your kidneys causing the metallic taste. My dad had this issue and it was all related to his kidneys. Go to your DR and ask them to run a blood test. If your urine is bubbly, then it is def related to your kidneys.

Thanks. I am thinking anemia as well because I have been anemic off and on for years and my period is excessively heavy. Not sure why the chills though. I'll have to mention it to my doctor.

No. Only meds are 6mp (which I've been on for years) and Humira injections every other week. Had this issue for the first time before the Humira though.
