Severe gas and stomach bloating....
i can't take it anymore! my stomach looks like i am pregnant, i am so bloated and extremely gassy. went to my doc and had a cat scan to rule out any serious issues, all was normal. he told me to take some anti-gas stuff. i have tried phazyme, mylanta gas extra strength, peppermint oil and even laxatives. it feels better when i pass gas  but that is not always possible to do in work and i will not do that in front of DH  i even changed my diet
anyone have this issue? what do you take? i am ready to take a knife to my stomach, i cannot take the pain anymore and my pants don't fit and i look pregnant

have you been tested for celiac disease? it can cause sever gas/bloating etc.. its an autoimmune disorder, your body can't process "gluten" aka wheat, reg. flour etc... do you eat alot of bread and stuff?
its a quick blood test (and a followup endoscopy if its positive to make sure you have it before altering your diet forever)
its worth looking into and most drs dont think of it yet

Could you be lactose intolerant? Try cutting out dairy for a few days (it takes me literally DAYS after eating dairy for my stomach to not be gigantic again).

If you think it's IBS I would recommend trying the new pro-biotic supplement- Align.
It's pricey but so far it's been working great for me....
FYI- It takes a few weeks to work...

it defintely sounds like a yeast problem. my mother had the same thing and after a 1 1/2 yrs of seeing a gastro dr, numerous tests, etc. they still couldnt figure it out.
by chance my father was googling yeast & bread recipes for his bread maker and found all this stuff with yeast and stomach problems.
theres an easy spit test you can do and a test your dr. can run.
I highly recommend adding probiotic supplements to your diet. They're amazing. My mom takes them every day and changed her diet to include more raw fruits/veggies. she's a 1000 x better.
there would be times for 2 weeks she couldnt poop and the second she would eat something her stomach would swell like she was pregnant.
i hope you find relief. research yeast..im sure you'll find lots of info.
also, get tested for Celiac disease as well.
