Severely capped lips, cheeks. Help!!

My 5 year old had his tonsils and adenoids shaved down on Monday. It caused his nose to run, alot. So he was wiping it, blowing it. His nose, lips and cheeks are RAW. Ike bloody. He will not stop rubbing them, he won't let me put ANYTHING on him. Is there anything that worked for you? His shirt neckline is bloody from wiping his lips. I keep yelling at him. Oy vey.

Awww poor boy! Aquaphor would probably be your best bet. Try to slather it on when he sleeps

For his cheeks, baby diaper rash cream with zinc oxide - my preference is Triple Paste. I know it sounds weird but it soothes the skin while at the same time creating a protective barrier. For his lips, I'd recommend Aquaphor.

I would use Aquaphor. My ped recommends it highly. It really quickly healed my daughter's bad drool rash on her chin. Like within hours, it was gone. I had to keep reapplying a few times a day, but it really works.

Aquaphor.

I used it on first and second degree burns on my hand a few years ago, as per the plastic surgeons instructions.
Worked wonders and I do not have any scars.
