Sex after IVF
For those that got BFP's from IVF how long did you wait to start doing the deed again?
The nurse i spoke with told me we should wait until after the first sono, which is next tue. But we are going nutso
Its already been almost 4 weeks!!!
Im contemplating saying screw it & doing it this weekend
So Im just curious, when do u think it is safe to go for it again???????

I would not risk it. No way Jose.
Personally, after going through IVF several times and not having luck I would make sure I had the all clear before risking it.

I wouldn't risk it....after all that work is it worth something bad happening over waiting a few days? We waited until we had the okay and then a few months later I was on bed rest and no nookie until the babies were born 4 months later (and then 6 weeks after that!!)

I know I know - hopefully we'll get the all clear on Tue.
I was just reading such conflicting info online. Some places said just wait until the first Beta, Others said nothing for the entire first trimester
I guess i was just curious what others experiences have been
5 more days!!!!

MY RE gave the ok as long as no bleeding was present....
Lo and behold a few days later I spotted 
Needless to say we will be waiting a while now 
With my DD (IVF) I ended up with a blood clot in my uterus (common w/ IVF) and then placenta previa....
7+ months of no  AT ALL!
( nothing else either  )My poor DH

I can't remember when they said we could, but I was such a nervous nelly that we didn't do anything till I was 14 weeks!!!!!! You go girl!

I was wondering the SAME thing. This summer has NOT been filled with much lovin'!!!! My first sono is on the 13th - hoping to resume normal activity afterwards! lol, GOOD LUCK

Your Dr will give you an OK.
Ours said to hold off & avoid deep penetration until much later (due to ultrasound).

There is no way. It's not worth it. All i would need to think about is all the stress, time, money, needles, pills, appointments, SACRAFICE i have put into the last few months of my life and I would have no problem saying "NO".
