sex during pregnancy (esp. 1st trimester)

I havent been to the doctor yet so I wanted to ask you guys, is it ok?

As long as you're having a healthy pregnancy, the Dr. will tell you that it's okay to have sex. For us, we were terrified for the entire first trimester and didn't.

i had an appt. at around 4 and 1/2 weeks and right away my midwife told me it was definitely okay. she said if i'm feeling crampy then maybe hold off for that day, but otherwise it's totally fine.

we one time so far, when i was about 6 and 1/2 weeks, and everything was fine. i honestly haven't been in the mood so much lately with this queasiness.

omg Im so upset right now, I had slight cramping earlier and we did for the first time since finding out now I totally regret it and am terrified :( no more till I go to the doctor

oh no! i didn't mean to scare you, i'm sorry!! i'm sure everything is fine! if you already had sex, and didn't have any crazy cramping or bleeding afterwards, then there is really nothing to worry about!

eta: when my midwife told me to maybe hold off a day if there was cramping, she really didn't make a big deal of it at all.

Unless there's a specific medical reason, which the doctor would make clear to you, there's no reason you should feel worried about having sex.

I am 8 weeks and I still haven't I am a little too afraid right now. DH brought it up last night and i said i wanted to wait a few more weeks. I know it's totally fine though as long as you are having a healthy pregnancy.

I am 38 weeks and have sex throughout the pregnancy. I think you are totally fine.

Yeah, everything I have read says it is fine. I had a subchorionic hematoma, so the doctors advised against

i didnt in my 1stt but only bc i started bleeding at 6weeks so dr told us to hold off until he gave the ok. which was at 12weeks now i cant get enough. only thing that sucks is im almost 8months i have to be on top(which i dont mind ) and my belly gets in the way and i get to hot to easily. .

I'm 26 weeks and have been all along. Dr. told me its a healthy thing to do during pregnancy as long as there isn't any medical reason not to.

I waited a while before I'm almost 11 weeks now and still am scared..lol. I had a m/c last summer so DH and I decided to wait till at least after our first appt...then after that I got a UTI and then realized that since I am so prone to UTI's and hte meds I have to take when I get them could be harmful we decided to take it easy for a while. For me the sacrifice was worth the piece of mind..

that being said...my doc said it was perfectly fine!!! He said a healthy sex life is good for you!

AS long as everythign is ok with you I say yes but I guess you can't known until you go to a dr. I say use your discretion.
