I have roller shades on all of my windows and they are tearing/look outdated, and I hate being able to see the brackets. I planned on just replacing the few that have torn for the time being, but it turns out JC Penney doesn't make that shade anymore and there's no direct replacement/the brackets have all changed.
So, I am now in the process of just replacing all of my windows: 6 regular windows (30in), 2 slightly larger ones (32 in), and 3 smaller ones (21in each- bay window). What do most people buy now? I was thinking of doing cordless cellular shades. Would like to stay under $500. Found cordless blackout cellular shades for around $400 total, but I want to be sure I am ordering something that won't look silly/outdated.

I ordered cordless cellular shades from Blinds Chalet for 6 windows. They look great. My DH installed them very quickly. The price was very reasonable and we got free shipping.

I have the cellular/honeycomb shades. I got them from BlindSaver.com. the prices were great. I'd wait till President's Day, they'll probably have a big sale.
