Shapewear? Is spanx the best?

I have some serious muffin top issues going on since DD was born. The skin on my belly is so stretched out that anything that is the slightest bit fitted gives me a muffin top.

So I need some shapewear to wear with a cocktail dress and also some for when I want to wear a fitted shirt...

Is spanx the best? Any other recommendations?

I would consider a slip - spanx does make them, but I invested in a Cass slip which I find less constricting but still gets the job done well.Click here for an article about slips.
