Share your advise for getting a child to not scream on Santa's Lap
Ok.. here's stupid. I spent $180 on nice photos of AJ. Then a day later at the mall with my aunt she just HAS to have one of AJ on Santa's lap!  Like, seriously, are you kidding me?
So as I stand in line I see every trick under the sun to get their toddlers to stop screaming.
Figured we should share a few.
AJ was in LOVE with Santa from a distance. Throwing him kisses and waving hi/bybye to him. She just laughed and smiled at him. We thought we had it made... oh no we didnt!
She held my hand and walked over to him then hid on my thigh and screamed bloody murder when I put her on his lap. She wanted NOTHING to do with him, threw her arms out to me with tears streaming down. He tried to calm her but she wanted none of it.
So after like 5secs I said "hang on" and took her back... wiped her face and calmed her a bit. Then kneeled down with Santa so she was at the same level as his thigh, pointed out his sleeve, etc.
Once she was calm I slid her to his knee and stayed close. She wasnt thrilled but was 'ok' then my hubby got her to smile while I held her shoulder then quickly jerked my arm away for photos. I stayed right there kneeling next to her the whole time, but never showed up in the photos.
So my advice
Remember its a closely cropped photo.. if you need to be close GO FOR IT!
I am SOOOOOOOO not looking forward to next year!

Cousins..
DD loves Santa, as long as he's on TV, in a book, as a decoration or otherwise artificial.
Santa as a human being...NO.WAY!!!!!
Except that is when we saw Santa and her most precious older cousin Mikey was there...Mikey is 6, DD is 2. What Mikey does, Kaity does...or at least she likes to think so...In this case, Mikey sat on Santa's lap, so Kaitlynn could too!!! 
Now if only she hadn't been picking her nose

A nervous tick caught in still form forever. Wait until she gets snippy with you as a teenager and bring that bad boy out. Add a story of how she ate them!!
