1/2 cup salt
1 cup flour
1Tbsp. cream of tartar
1 Tbsp. oil
1 cup water
Heat over medium heat until it's a good playdough consistency and cool in the fridge.

Re: Share your best Play-doh recipe

this is the exact same one I use and it really makes awesome playdough. You can add in whatever food coloring you want and sometimes I even add in different extracts or spices to make it smell nice!

Bonitachyc was telling me about making your own playdoh, thanks for posting and asking for a recipe! Chat Icon

My only question is - what type of jars do you use to store the play doh?

Re: Share your best Play-doh recipe

This is an edible recipe....
As long as DC is old enough and not allergic to any of the ingredients....here is a recipe for Peanut Butter Playdough

-2 cups peanut butter
-6 tablespoons honey
-nonfat dry milk OR milk plus flour
-Cocoa or carob for chocolate flavor(optional)
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix, adding enough dry milk or milk plus flour to reach the consistency of bread dough. Add cocoa or carob if desired. Shape, decorate with edible treats and eat!
