Share your Grilling Tricks & Tips
DH & I are new grillers this season & I thought you could share your tricks with us?
Close the grill or Leave it open? Oil the grates? Prevent flare ups? Etc...

heard that throwing some spices into the grill (under rack) adds a really nice and different smokey flavor to the meat and veggies.

1-spray the grates with a little Pam before you start 2-Only turn your meat once! Constant messing with it will dry it out. 3-DO NOT SQUISH YOUR BURGERS! My dad did that on Sunday and I almost killed him. 4-Keep the cover closed while cooking and watch that the temperature doesn't get too hot. 5- When grilling chicken on the bone, cook on low or the outside will burn while the inside is raw. 6-Get a spray bottle of water for flare-ups.
Good Luck!

Re: Share your Grilling Tricks & Tips
I've learned to be a good BBQ'er the past month and its very exciting. I love it. I actually used to be afraid of it. LOL
I usually pre-heat it w/ cover closed (on high) for a good 10 minutes..........then I add the meat and close cover again. And usually flip 2 or 3 times.........then done.
If I have hamburger or hot dog buns that have been in the fridge and I wanna warm them up.........and put them on the side burner that isnt on......and they get perfect to eat. Almost fresh again
