Sharing My Awesome DVC Rental Deal
We had a room only reservation booked at CBR for Disney (I always book room only as I like the flexibility option if I want to change things around). It really wasn't my first choice, but slim pickins for our peak time period. All the while, I was searching for a dedicated DVC reservation on all the point renting sites, and on Ebay. I found one on ebay and offered $500 less than what they listed it for (not expecting them to accept), and they accepted my offer! We now have a 1 bedroom villa at SSR, and it came out to about $5.50 per point, and was exactly $1 cheaper than my CBR reservation! I was able to link my reservation right to My Disney Experience, and book our Magical Express over the phone. Super happy for more space, and a washer dryer!
So if you are looking for a DVC deal, definitely plug in your travel dates on ebay!

Curious. Please let us know how it went in the end. I am always nervous about booking outside something like Davd's as there are rare reports of people cancelling their reservations and disappearing with the money.

Yeah I doubt that will happen, this person has great feedback, and sells a lot of timeshare weeks. And I am 100% protected by paypal and my CC company IF something like that did happen.

One little word of caution:
Most rentals on Ebay are RCI trade-ins. Technically this is against both RCI and DVC rules. Odds are everything will go off without a hitch, but Disney does have the right to cancel the reservation.
If this is an RCI trade-in there may a $95 charge when you check in. That is the exchange fee for trading into DVC from RCI. You may also be asked to pay the room occupancy tax.
Other than that, enjoy! Saratoga is a beautiful resort.

Actually deleted my comment because I don't want someone hunting down my ressie to try to get it cancelled. who knows what kind of nuts are on here, and people get in CRAZY police mode when it comes to Disney  But I'm not concerned in the least bit about my ressie being cancelled. Not in the slightest. I checked in online already, will be there soon, and I know my risk and my reward when booking Disney trips. We have been about 18 times
