Sharing photos with family members

How do you guys share your pics with family? I'd really like to be able to upload them to a website and just have people go there, download what they want and do it that way. The email thing is getting annoying, sometimes the files are too big, etc.

DH suggested creating an account in shutterfly and sharing the login with everyone, but I know that one of them will store their cc data and then be billed for other family member's photos.

Any suggestions? Thanks!
Cathy

I use shutterfly and it works great. Everyone can view them and then if anyone wants to order them they just set up their own account ..that way unless someone knows their password their is no access to their account. What I do is I send a link to the email addresses of family and friends.

I use Ofoto and send them on a monthly basis - I didn't want to bombard people with pictures more frequently than that (I am very tempted though to share my cuties more frequently, but I stop myself Chat Icon).

A friend of mine uses BabySites - its free too.

I use Shutterfly too. I email the album out (sharing) and the parents and other relatives can use their own Shutterfly account to print the pictures they want. They do not have access to my account, so I don't get charged anything.

ETA: don't share your account name and password. Share the album with that function on Shutterfly and you should have no problems with relatives billing others.

Yeah, we've tried that but certain family members claim they can't ever get into it, so DH thought that this would be easier.

I use Kodakgallery. I select share an album & send them to a group of addresses. I like the feature that allows me to see who has been in what album.

oh gosh email would never work for me. we take tons of photos. we use kodakgallery too. have been using it for years now.

it doesnt charge you for anyone else's photos. who told you that ?

and if you check off that members are NOT required to sign in to view your photos they should be able to see them right away.

I use ofoto too and send them monthly. At first it took some family members time to figure out but eventually they did it. You can send the albums so they don't have to log in to view too that may make it easier for some.

Re: Sharing photos with family members

I use Shutterfly and share the album and send them to a bunch of email addresses....

But, then my FIL says he can't save them to his computer (he wants all of them). My mother then complanins she wants to send 1 or 2 to some of her friends and not the whole share album.

It's become a real PITA to send separate emails to everyone based on their wish list Chat Icon Chat Icon
