Shark Ltd Edition Light wgt Upright Vacuum or Eureka Optima...

Does anyone have either of the above vacuums? Pros/cons?

We have mainly hardwood floors, but also 2 br w/ carpet & an area rug. Which would you recommend & why?

Thx.

Re: Shark Ltd Edition Light wgt Upright Vacuum or Eureka Optima...

I have the Shark. I purchased it at BB&B. I bought it because I was getting tired of carrying my Bissell up and down all the time. My house is mainly hardware with area rugs. The Shark is a great little vacuum however I have already returned two. The first one I returned because my DH decided to vacuum chunks of sheetrock rather then get the wetvac. The second one the motor died. It is not a heavy duty vac. I have to vacuum everyday due to 2 dogs and 2 kids. The inner filter constantly gets clogged and needs to be cleaned. If you don't completely clean it the red light will not shut off. You can get a lifetime of filters for a fee but I haven't bother because I'm not sure how long the vac will last.

I would buy it but keep the box incase you need to return it. BB&B is great about returns. HTH.
