Where can I get one? How does everyone dispose of needles and syringes?

Re: sharps container
for the full size needles i bring them back to my RE's office and use their sharps. the needle tips from like the follistim pen i usually repackage since it has the plastic cover and wrap in like tin foil and then put in a glass bottle or something like that.

Re: sharps container
CVS sells them for about $3.50. Then when you no longer need it or it's full, you can bring it back to your Dr.'s office to throw in there biohazards containter.

Re: sharps container
I have an extra one that I'd be happy to send you. When it's full, just bring the needles to the dr's office.

Re: sharps container
I call ed the dept of sanitation and this is what I was was told to do. In my town (Islip) you just put them in a hard plastic container like a detergent or bleach bottle. Add some bleach to it (like a little in the bottom. Then mark as sharps with a permanent marker and put it out in the regular garbage. This is how I disposed of all my Lovenox and Heparin syringes.

I use an old coffee container and then I brought it in filled with needles into my RE office.
No need to buy one, just use an old container of some sort. My RE office gave me this suggestion.

They can to dispose of them for you if they are in a proper biohazard sharps container. Legally they can not/should not accept them if they are in anything other than that. If they are telling you they can't dispose of them for you they are just being lazy!

Re: sharps container
I found one at Walgreens today... after trying CVS and Target. I also ordered the free one. I have all of my needles from a fresh cycle and a cryo cycle from a few years back in soda bottles in my linen closet! I have to start bringing them to my RE's office.

This is what I did too...it was suggested by my pharmacist.
