Shaving question for men-the old fashioned razors....

Does anyone's DH/SO use the oldschool razor that isn't disposable?

Does he like it?

Where did he get it?

DH is so tired of using a million razors a week. The disposables are like a one time use thing and the cartridges for the other razors are ridiculously expensive.

Dh uses ones that are disposable but not the plastic one time use ones.

I have never seen straight razors sold anywhere, but maybe he could ask a barber where to buy them?? they still use them.

You can find them online and then you just replace the blades. My father had used it for as long as I can remember but then he stopped because he couldn't find the blades. His skin is very sensative and then my mom went to the art of shaving at RF Mall and bought a new razor, blades and the whole shaving kit for christmas and his skin is better (he use to get razor burn bad so he use to shave 1-2 times a week). According to him it takes time to learn how to shave with that type of razor. This is also how both my grandfathers shaved.

Try The Art of Shaving - There are 2 locations in the city (Wall Street area and 5th Ave in the 50's I think) and a store in Roosevelt Field mall
