Sheet Savers?

Are you registering for/using these?
I bought a mattress pad but if the baby's diaper leaks, I will still have to take the sheets and mattress pad off to wash.

I was thinking of getting some sheet savers... anyone else? Which ones?

i registered for them.
I was told they are great because you don't have to take the sheet off and all, you just change the sheet saver.

I registered for the Ultimate Crib sheet. I put down 2 of them. Heard good things about it.

I have the sheet savers and I love them! DS has clogged tear ducts and so he gets some wicked goo in his eyes and then proceeds to rub them on the sheet...the sheet saver helps because all I have to do is change that pad - not the entire sheet.

Yes, I registered for the Ultimate sheet Saver at BRU. They were located by the mattress pads & sheets.

I had the sheet savers and I hated them, if you have a kid who moves at all, they move all around the bed. And let me tell you this, if your kid spits up or throws up....you still have to change the whole thing!

But apparently lots of people love them...so I am probably in the minority!

The ultimate crib sheet is great (it goes on top of the sheet so you only have to change that)

For the bassinette we got a "crib" pad that goes on top of the sheet mattress, yet we just laid ours in on top, there are ties but on our bassinette there is nothing to tie it to

Honestly I think they are a hazard if used how they are meant to be. If you have a baby that moves around alot in their crib they could get wedged underneath it. I used mine underneath my DD ontop of her changing pad, for that they worked great.

For me a definite must have!!!!!

Ive always used this type of product...water proof pad placed under baby.

I know what my laundry cituation is so I think I got 4 of them...

They also come in handy when say you want some naked baby time..say on a blanket or on the bed. My girls used to get diaper rashes so the pediatrician recommended letting them AIR OUT from time to time. It was a lot easier to wash the pads than a huge blanket or comforter.

I don't know what sheet savers are, however i did by mattress pads that "protect" your mattress should your little one pee or throw up....well the mattress we have are pretty washable (not like the ones you have on your bed) so I have never used them

In my experience the second one posted(on the pink gingham sheet) is a safety hazard. The middle section can be lifted up by a baby(pretty high) and a babys head can get wedged in there. I registered for it and after putting on our crib used it for another purpose. Just my $.02 Chat Icon

I use the Ultimate Crib Sheet. It is soo much easier then changing the sheets. It has snaps so you don't have to lift the entire mattress. Seeing cute sheets didn't bother me at all. Lifting the mattress to change them did.

Totally worth itChat Icon

I guess you are right... I wonder if it was a waste to get the mattress pad then.

Re: Sheet Savers?

DEFINITELY get the ultimate crib sheet - yes it covers the cute sheet - but the baby will spit up, drool, pee and possibly poo all over the cute sheet too - this protects it and it's SO EASY to change.

You'll still see the cute sheet from the side. Trust me, changing a crib sheet involves taking off the bumper and trying to manuever the whole mattress. My DH wasnt sold on the ultimate crib sheet - until he had to change the sheet - now he loves it.

Re: Sheet Savers?

i just used a regualr mattress pad for Bella...i change the sheets once or twice a week either way so i dont see a difference if the baby did pee or poop, if your changing the sheets often anyway.
