shellac rave!!! also with a ? for girls who get it done
I never get manicures because it chips so quick. I was going away so I figured I would try it. OMG I'm so in love!!!!!!!!! its regular nail polish that doesn't chip. I'm on day 5 and it looks like day 1!
I had it done at borte day spa in e. northport because I work near there. I paid $35 and since it lasts 2 weeks, that's not to bad! $17.50 per week instead of the usual $12
the question:
where do you get it done and how much do you pay?
I remember a thread awhile back here and a lot of people said they paid less.

Its going to vary, some places are $20, $25 and my current salon is $35.

I get my nails done at Winnie Nail Salon in Smithtown on Main St. I get Shellac and it is $25. The woman who owns the salon is named Winnie, ask for her-she does a great job!
Side note-I used to get the Axxiom Gel and it wasn't as shiny and it destroyed my nails. It actually looked kind of plasticy on my nails. The Shellac is so shiny! My nails look awesome!!

I did Cactus in Dix Hills and they were $38. My friend gets them done for $25, the place is on Jericho in a shopping center on the South side of the street, with Dunkin Donuts and a threading place. Unfortunately, I'm not sure of the name but it is definitely between 110 and Elwood, but closer to Elwood.

I got to Barbi Nails in St. James and pay 30. Ask for Jeanie! She is AMAZIGN! I;m on day 11 and they look great still!!

I went yesterday and I had winnie. she did a really great job! I will be going back! I also had my eyebrows waxed and she did the best job I think I have ever had.
And for $25 that's the cheapest around!

Fashion Nails in Wantagh does Shellac for $20! I haven't gotten it done there though so I can't vouch for the quality.
