Shelter that will take stray cats?
Over the last couple of months, a bunch of cats have moved into our backyard. One of them had a litter of kittens. We're not feeding them but I assume the neighbors are since they are sticking around. We can't take any of them in because we already have a cat that is FIV+ so he has to be by himself. I don't have any way of catching the cats myself and bringing them to a shelter but I was wondering if there are any shelters that will do this for you? I would prefer that they all find good loving homes and I'm hesitant to call some random place and find out they'll be put down. Any recs? Thanks!

Maybe Bobbi and the Strays?
Be very, very careful.... a lot of the shelters that claim to be "no kill" will just ship them off to a kill shelter if they run out of room....if that's the case, they are better off outside...

In the Town of Huntington they do not take stray cats because they are considered wildlife (what I was told) but they will lend you traps so you can have them fixed.

If you can trap them have them fixed and release them.

Ive never found any strays or anything but I rescued from SBU - Stony Brook University Cat Network. They trap, fix and release at the University.
Im just wondering if you personally found them, when you say fix them is this paid for by someone or do you have to pay out of pocket?
