she's not doing great formula feeding
Ugh...Last week I started weaning DD with just one bottle of formula a day. Today I'm going to introduce a second. She's been getting a bottle of pumped milk since about 4 weeks old and doing fine with it. With the formula though, most times it is spilling out of her mouth and she rarely has more than 3 oz. We're using the same bottles we did with the pumped milk so I don't get it. She doesn't fuss while getting the bottle, but she just seems to loose interest around 3 oz. Can someone help! I have to go back to work in a week and a half and I need to make sure she's eating properly!!

the formula may be filling her up more quickly and that is why she is stopping before finishing the bottle. As long as she isn't spitting it up; I wouldn't worry too much. She just has to get used to it.

ya, she hasn't spit any of it up yet. knock on wood! Do you think I should switch nipples or bottles since it spills out so much? She's still on the slow nipple. I would think since it's spilling out that I shouldn't move up to a faster flow nipple right?
