Shoe help

I broke my heel and after five weeks of wearing a walking boot I can finally walk without it but all the shoes I have tried hurt- Any recommendations? I spoke to my doctor and he said it will hurt on and off for the next several months and I have to try to find a comfortable shoe-I have a pair of ugg slippers that I wear in the house and they do not hurt but they are not practical for outdoors.

Try a pair of Skechers. They are not the prettiest shoes although they do have cute ones, but they will probably be the most comfy.

I agree with this, they have so many styles now, the memory foam and GoGa mat ones are really soft and comfortable.

Maybe look into some Dr. Scholls inserts for extra cushioning. I have to put them in almost every shoe or boot I wear. Just not in my sneakers.

Try a wedge style to take pressure off your heel.
Sketchers don't offer a lot of support.

I broke my leg a few years ago and still have to be conscious of my footwear. I would recommend getting a good supportive sneaker. I also looked into birkenstocks for the summer. I can't be barefoot anymore and if i wear junky shoes like ballet flats for too long i completely feel it.

ETA that my orthopedist said a kitten heel was better than a flat or high heel for work/getting dressed up. I am able to wear heels and heeled boots now but not all day or multiple days in a row

Thank you for the information- I tried on a few different types of sneakers today but I think I need to keep looking- what worked best for you- I have one pair that is pretty good but I want a second pair with more cushion in the heel.

Yes this. Sketchers are the worst if you have food problems.
My foot starts to hurt within the first step when I wear those go walks. Awful.

Wedge heels offer more support....I'd look into a brand like Vionics as well....
