I don't know much about this series, so I have a question or two...
Do you have to read them in order?
If you don't read them in order, will they make sense?

I'm a little OCD when it comes to reading series; I have to start w/the first one.
I'd start w/the first one just because there are little references to some situations in the later books.

I would read them in order. Each new book picks up where the previous one ended.
I loved this series and just got my coworker hooked on it too.

I've read a few of them at various times in no particular order, and it was fine. But I may have missed some references from previous books since they do go in order.
