Shopping List for New Puppy
So we decided to get a Sheltie. We are going to the breeder in PA on Saturday to see her and possibly take her home if we like her. I want to go to the stores and get some stuff. I know I need to get: -Collar -Leash -Food & Water Bowl -Treats -Toys
I am going to ask the breeder what food she feeds her and I will use that for now.
Am I forgetting anything? If so please add to my list. TIA

Re: Shopping List for New Puppy
Where will she sleep, do you have a bed or a crate? I'd start looking into vets if you don't already have one, just to get her checked out and get her shots records going. You'll need flea, tick and heartworm meds too. There are some options out there for you to check out. We use Sentinel for heartworm and switched from Frontline to Bug-Off Garlic for flea & tick protection. Good idea, finding out what food she's on now... also find out how many cups and when they feed her to keep her on that schedule for now.
I think that's all you should need to bring her home, then later you can get grooming supplies and other stuff. Good luck!

Re: Shopping List for New Puppy
nature's miracle has wipes for puppies that we use to use on our yorkie in between baths. ear wipes and eye wipes. tooth brush and tooth paste. wee wee pads if you need to potty train. a bed.

Grannick's Bitter Apple spray to keep her away from things you don't want her to chew on.
I'd also pick up Nature's Miracle or some kind of carpet cleaner in case she has accidents in the house (which is common as she adjusts to her new environment).
In addition to a crate you might want to get a gate to restrict her to certain areas of the house or block her from stairs.
I found this Care Sheet online which you may find helpful
