Shopping on Sunrise
Where do you shop? Is there another area to shop that I might be missing?

There is a nice one in Garden City right on 7th Ave. Very quaint little village-like feel. Not exactally RVC but close enough.

There are stores and restaurants on Village Ave and Park Ave, off Sunrise and Merrick. Other than that, you could go to Oceanside for bigger stores like Gap, Children's Place, TJ Maxx, Express, etc.

I live close to there and do most of my shopping in Oceanside or up near the mall.
I do my food shopping at the new Stop & Shop in W Hemsptead. But there is another in Hempstead near Old Navy that is prob closer.

Yup that's the Stop & Shop. The stores in Oceanside are on Long Beach Rd.

Isnt this one pretty far from RVC?
Not sure. My SIL lives in RVC and shops at the one in Hempstead.

If you go south on Long Beach Road, towards Long Beach, not far, you can find everything from large supermarkets, to many clothing stores. Ive lived in RVC, Oceanside, and Long Beach, and hardly ever went to Roosevelt Field.

If you live in RVC, where do you shop? Is there a "main street" other than Sunrise?
I consider moving there, like the village, schools, etc, but don't like that all of my shopping would be on Sunrise.

Rocville Ctr has shopping on village ave, park pl, and many of the side streets.. U can go to oceanside, lynbrook for shopping also.
