Shopping Stinks
I officially hate shopping! I went to try and get some clothes today....and I can't find anything that fits. I was a 16 pre-preggo....so the XL it a little too small...but the 1X in the plus sizes is too big. I don't know what I'm going to do.....
I tried, Kohl's, JC Penney, Old Navy and Destination Maternity.
Any suggesstions? Thanks.

Re: Shopping Stinks
I might try to order from Old Navy online....they really didn't have very many size selections in the store...everything was a small
Pre-preggo, this was my favorite store.....

Re: Shopping Stinks
have you considered mens' clothing?
I've been wearing button downs and I just picked up a bunch of mens' sweaters from Bloomies. Just look for feminine colors and/or fabrics!
As for pants, I have to order from online b/c I'm tall. I gave Gap.com a shot b/c it's easy to return to the stores if the items don't fit. (I found that GAP ran rather large.)

Re: Shopping Stinks
Kim, I am going to try Old Navy too. Let me know what you think of them. The problem is that I don't fit in my old clothes, but my belly really isn't showing and I don't really fit maternity clothes. As usual, i am between sizes
Although, I got a pair of miracle pants from Motherhood that are pretty good. They have thie belt thing that you can adjust, so they fit now, and they expand real big

Having the exact same problem...don't really have a preggo belly, but my regular clothes are getting snug. Before I order online, I am going to try another old navy tomorrow in a different location....

No I haven't tried this...but I don't think I could make it work. I was never a button down shirt person, not even in women's.

I noticed Old Nacy maternity clothes ran small to. I think Motherhood has larger sizes too. If not in the store then online. Also, the pants with the regular waist fit smaller than the panel waisted pants.
I did a quick search on Google too, maybe these will help:

http://www.babybecoming.com/
http://www.motherhood.com/plushome.asp?mastercategory_Id=7&Plus=true (this is Motherhood - they have really cute stuff.
and here is an interesting article I found that might be helpful

Re: Shopping Stinks
Ok...I had a little better luck today. I found 2 pairs of pants at sears (very similar to the miralce pants), I found 1 pair of jeans at Old Navy. I found 1 pair of pants and 1 pair of capris and a few shirts at the Motherhood store. I wound up getting the plus sizes from Motherhood, because even though they are a little big, I figure I will grow into them...the XL in the regular either just fit, or were snug so I'm sure I would be uncomfortable.
Now...see my other post as to when to wear them
