How is your body handling the weight gain?

My legs and butt are okay but I feel like the rest of me is huge. My upper body is especially big ( I am carrying pretty high) and my face is starting to get pretty full.

I would love to blame it on my short stature but I think I just have gained too much at this point already (26 weeks).

I am 5'3" and 3/4. I am 32 weeks and up 40 lbs. Most of the gain is in my belly area, but a little did go to my thighs, hips and butt. I think my upper body and face look the same as before.

Re: Short girls (under 5' 4")

I'm a smidge under 5', and so far, at 35 weeks, I have gained 37 lbs. I feel like an absolute house!!

I'm a bit fuller in my face, butt, and arms, but I *think* most of the weight has gone to my belly.

Lately my hands, legs, and feet have been swollen to unbelievable proportions. It's hard to tell if it's water retention or actual weight but I'm hoping it's all water retention.

My feet don't fit into anything but my Uggs anymore.

I'm carrying really high and often my stomach hits up to my bra and hurts.

I'm 5'3 1/2 and so far at 25 weeks I'm up 12 lbs.

Thankfully it's all in my stomach, but I do feel like a teeter totter at times!

Re: Short girls (under 5' 4")

i am just under 5 foot and with my first pregnancy i gained 49 pds. my dd was 9 pds when she was born. with in 6 months i had lost it all and then some.

this time around i have gained 8 pds so far and i'm almost 20 weeks. hopefully i don't gain as much, but either way it's all worth it in the end. Chat Icon

Re: Short girls (under 5' 4")

I'm 5' 3" and with one week left to go, I've gained about 45 lbs. Everyone says I'm "all belly," but I know otherwise!

My butt and thighs are bigger, and my legs and feet are very swollen with what I think is water weight. My boobs are pretty huge too. I don't think my arms are much bigger, and my face is the same.

I am barely 5'0" and at 15 weeks have gained 5 lbs so far. I have a nice round belly and having terrible wardrobe malfunctions with my bras. I need to get bigger bras Chat Icon

The only only thing I am having with being so short is all the maternity pants I bought I've had to hem. I havent found a pair of petite pants

Re: Short girls (under 5' 4")

I'm 5 ' and I've only gained a half pound at 13 weeks.

eta: I have some extra post wedding fluff...but a lot of my weight seems to be shifting to my belly.

Re: Short girls (under 5' 4")

I'm 5'1" and have gained 13 lbs. at 27 weeks. It's mostly in my belly and my boobs (but they were large to begin with).

BTW, check Gap Maternity for petite length maternity pants. That's all I wear!
