shorts that don't ride up when running
I recently starting running and as much as i hate wearing shorts when running... it's too hot not to.
The 2 pairs of shorts i have- start riding up while i'm running. My legs do rub together when i walk so i'm no skinny minny.
Is there such a thing as shorts that don't ride up? i really don't want to wear spandex.

I wear both, spandex (I don't like to call them spandex but I guess they are) and regular running shorts but the spandex feel so much better. No chance of rubbing, etc.
If its the rubbing together that is bothering you, pick up some body glide. My thighs rub together too so I need to put body glide on before I run in shorts.
Maybe try a bigger pair of shorts? Sometimes my shorts ride up when they are too small.

i bought a pair of shorts from athleta last year and they are hands down my favorite! i had the same issues you mentioned... these shorts are not too short, and have a nice light meshy kind of spandex shorts built in so your legs don't rub or chafe. it also prevents the shorts from riding up. i will check the site to see if they still have them. may be pricey but i thought they were worth it!
here they are: take two shorts

I have gotten over the stigma of "spandex" shorts. They are not the 80's spandex shorts - they have come a long way. I can't wear anything else.
