Shoudl I Pump?
Hi, My DD is 8 weeks old and I have been bF here exclusively since she was born. I can work from home and have started back gradually and will increase my hours over the next few weeks so I will be working 3 full days by the time she is 12 weeks old and 5 full days by the time she is 16 weeks. I hope to be working from home even when I am back at work full time.
My Q. is considering I can work from home and can BF on demand when she needs it do I need to pump? My main reason for getting a pump at this stage is that I have a fear of something happening to me, ie. going to hospital for a few days etc etc and my DD not being able to BF.....
Any advice? TIA

Re: Shoudl I Pump?
If you can feed on demand at all times, then no, there's no *need* really to pump. But, keep in mind, that also means that you're pretty much tied to baby at all times. I started pumping at 3 weeks to build a supply for work, and for (rare) occasions that I would go out with hubby or to events where I knew I'd be out longer than 2-3 hours. It gives you a little more freedom in that regard...
