Should I call my Dr?
At 8 wks pregnant I started bleeding due to a miscarriage (blighted ovum). Luckily, I already had a doctor's appointment on the day I started bleeding. She scheduled me to come back in tomorrow (Saturday) to do an ultrasound and find out if a D&C would be needed. I've been bleeding ever since. It started out very light with spotting, but in the past two days has gotten heavy with clotting and cramping, but not to the point that I feel ill or have to change the pad every hour. Should I call my doctor about the fact that I'm still bleeding or should I just wait until tomorrow's 9:30am appointment?

Re: Should I call my Dr?
I would call. You may not feel well because you are losing a lot of blood.
Better safe than sorry.
I'm so sorry again that this happened.

Re: Should I call my Dr?
I guess I'll update since something significant happened last night. I had my u/s yesterday morning and they said some "product" was still there and that the doctor would call me to discuss what to do next. At that time I was only brown spotting. Around 6pm I started cramping really bad to the point I couldn't walk followed shortly by heavy bleeding. My ILs took me to the hospital and we arrived at the ER around 9pm. By that time I was soaking a pad every 15 minutes. While in the ER I was bleeding so bad they had to change the bed linens as well as my gown. My underwear were with saturated in blood and I had to make several trips to the bathroom where I passed massive clots and "product". Despite this I still had to wait on a hospital bed until the u/s was free, and which I didn't get done until 1pm. At that time they told me I looked like I had passed everything and that I had to go back to the ER to be seen by a gynecologist. I saw the gynecologist around 2am when he told me I looked cleaned out, that it appeared I had passed everything while sitting in the ER, and that my doctor will be calling me to make a f/u appointment. Needless to say, I didn't get home until 3:30 am and a part of me wishes I had just stayed home, sat on the toilet, and waited it out. Of course, my parents are reminding me going to the hospital was the best thing because while I was there they were able to monitor my blood pressure if I were to lose too much blood. Overall, I'm so glad this happened on a Saturday evening while I was relaxing at home instead of in Manhattan with my DH or at work. I'm counting my blessings. (Sorry if this is TMI.)

I'm so mad at your doctor. I'm glad you're ok now but what an ordeal.
So sorry again!
