Should I get a crib or toddler mattress?
I'm confused Does anyone know how much bigger a toddler mattress is than a crib mattress? How long do toddlers generally sleep in their beds until they get a regular bed?

I dont think there is a difference? I think you use the crib mattress in the toddler bed
being that you have another on the way you'll need the mattress for I might consider just moving to a twin size bed.

the crib mattress is the one you use in toddler beds. i put my kids in the toddler bed early by 15 months cause they were climbing out of the cribs. by 3 they had a twin size bed.

I just registered for a crib mattress and the told me at BRU that one side is for infant ( much firmer) and then the other side is for toddler(a little less firm) it is a sealy perfect sleeper i think

when we were shopping for my sons toddler bed all of them used the standard crib mattress but we actually decided to just put him in a twin bed then to have to replace that bed in like 2 yrs we put him in his big bed at 21 months it was the racing car bed so it had the things on the side and he loves it still sleeps good every night.

The mattress for a toddler bed is the same as a crib mattress.

thank you everyone. I was confused because I've seen beds that say they take crib mattresses and some that say toddler mattresses.

They are the same size, at least thats what we were told. We use a crib mattress on dd's toddler bed...
