should i get the side snap or half onsies for teh first few weeks

I recieved a pack of side snap undershirts at my shower. They are just teh top part of a onsie but i also thought they made a whole onsies that had hole for the belly button for before it falls off. Do they make such a thing?Should i get them? Should i get more of the ones i got at my shower? i only got a 4 pack i think.TIA

I really liked the side snap t shirts. I never saw onesies with a hole in them but I still think I would like the tees better.

I got both of these for my shower and ended up using the side snap undershirts all the time. They are just easier in the beginning especially since I was so nervous to dress him cause the baby was so small

I never used the shirts. I only used onsies. I just packed the shirts away for the next baby. Maybe I will use them then.

I liked the side snaps -- when I was nervous to put stuff over her head it was just one less thing to have to put on that way.

I also got very little use out of Tshirts. I have yet to put one on Matthew.

I had a few and used them the first day or two. But since she was small, the onesies were big on her and didn't pull on the cord anyway, so I preferred them.

Side snaps until the cord fell off, then onesies are what I used. However, I think that 6 or so should be more than enough, especially if you have easy access to laundry and can do it every other day or so.

We ended up using only the long sleeve side snap shirts from the hospital both for the cord issue but also b/c they had the no scratch sleeves which were a must! DD is a scratcher!

We used the side snap ones in the beginning. Once his umbilical cord fell off we started using the onesie.

I never used them - just used the onsies. I found they stretched so much that they were falling off him.

I got a bunch of the side snap shirts at my shower - opened all of the packages and ewashed them all - never used them. the onesies fit her kinda big so I didnt worry about rubbing against the cord at all.

I did not like the side snaps because they would ride up around her neck. I stopped using them after a couple of days.

I had onesies that snapped up the front and they were great. When she first came home I left one snap undone so it wouldnt rub her belly button.

i didn't use them either because i hated how they would ride up. i even have an unopened package in 3-6 months, but i don't know why anyone would even want to use them after the cord falls off.
