Should I have a shower?
I literraly JUST got married, as in I was preggo at my wedding (but didn't know it yet). So, I was figuring on telling my family NO shower. I feel like it's too close and expecting too much. Should I bail all together or just make it really small with immediate family only?

Re: Should I have a shower?
You could always not register but if people want to buy you things they know what to get you. My SIL did this for all three of her kids because she never had a shower.

Re: Should I have a shower?
I think you should definitely have one. Maybe talk to your family to see if they think it should be big or smaller.

Re: Should I have a shower?
I say you should def have a baby shower.
There is a lot of stuff you need for that baby plus you should celebrate the baby.
Def have a shower!

Re: Should I have a shower?
Go ahead and have the shower. My friend had her bridal shower in May, her wedding in June, and her baby shower is this Sunday.

Re: Should I have a shower?
I had a honeymoon baby and I had a shower. My bridal shower and baby shower were like 10months apart. I don't see anything wrong with it! The same people were there and there were alot of them! It's a completely different reason to celebrate.

Re: Should I have a shower?
Thanks girls. I think I will and just keep it a little smaller. My BS was like 45 people. I'll keep it to family. Thanks!

Re: Should I have a shower?
You are definitely entitled to a shower!!! It's a joyous occasion and should be celebrated!! I'd want to give my friend/relative a gift regardless of when her bridal shower was!!

Yes! Have a shower and love it! It will be a great time for you and your family to celebrate your baby. You will need tons of baby stuff - and what a better way to receive it!

Same for me! Everyone will be happy to shower you again, now with baby stuff. I understand how you feel, because I felt like that at first. But, I decided that I really wanted a shower. I'd say have a shower and enjoy it.

Re: Should I have a shower?
Yes, you should have one....
My bridal shower was in June'04, wedding July '04 and my baby shower was in March '05. I thought people were going to be sick of me. We had a good time and I was glad to see everyone (I live OOT).

I agree - you get only one. Why should you deprive yourself of a shower? If it makes you really uncomfortable, just make it a small one.
