Should I give a little speech Thanking everyone for coming or should the one throwing the shower give a speech ????

I do NOT plan on making any kind of speech and will be really annoyed if anyone tries to get me to. My parents may be paying for the restaurant, but I have planned my entire shower for myself with no help. I will thank all of my guests when I open gifts.

I wouldn't make a speech. Maybe at the end of the shower when your DH is there helping pack up you can thank everyone together but I don't think a speech is necessary. Besides, all of the speeches I have seen at baby showers get weepy and with hormones all crazy, I wouldn't want to cry in front of the whole room.

I don't think you need a speech but when you greet all your guests you can tell them how much you appreciate them coming.

I believe my mom thanked everyone for coming I wasnt very talkative at my shower it was the first time I met all of dh family so I was like having anxiety attacks lol.

i woud jst say abog ty to everyone after al thegifts are opened, if you decide to open the gifts.
