Just getting sheets for our DC#2. DS is 2 and has never once used the blanket for his bedding. Instead we use smaller stroller blankets that are softer and he loves them. Plus, the jersey sheets are easier to put on and take off.

Just getting sheets, crib skirt and matching window treatments.
Dd1 we had custom bedding, bumper, blanket, crib skirt and window treatment. Never felt comfortable using the bumper and never used the blanket. Waste of money.

Since I have a DD and we are now having a DS I got a new bedding set BUT it's custom made because my DH wanted a specific sports team. So I am of no help to you...lol.

We just have sheets and crib skirt. Taylor sheets and Harper in Grey skirt from PBK. I knew I wouldn't use a quilt or bumpers. If you have a theme in mind or colors in mind that's the easiest place to start :) I love the sets at Pottery Barn Kids.

My son's stuff is from PBK
It's just sheets, a crib skirt which I only used for a while and then took it off... and a really nice quilt. That I use a lot because he used to play on it and now it is like decor because he is now 19 months old so he's walking.
I love PBK's sheets - I wash them constantly and they hold up, they fit the mattress so well, and overall - they are just great quality.
I did Beatrix Potter Peter Rabbit and they had official Peter Rabbit sheets and bedding.
